Goals:

            ▪ manage pain & inflammation

            ▪ improve neuromuscular conditioning and prevent muscle atrophy

            ▪ improve stifle and hip joint ROM (range of motion)

            ▪ maintain cardiovascular fitness

Therapy:

            ▪ bioelectric whirlpool therapy -

                        (used for relaxation & pain management)

            ▪ passive flexion and extension of both stifles and hips

            ▪ stretching of all flexor muscles

            ▪ deep heating of tissues via therapeutic ultrasound and laser

            ▪ UWT (underwater treadmill)

            ▪ assortment of therapeutic exercises -

                       (used to stimulate use of the rear limbs)

How Is Kelly Doing Now?

Kelly started rehabilitation with us just recently after her last surgery, but she is already making great progress.  She is a very energetic dog and was in such great shape before her surgery that her recovery is going very smooth.  We expect a great recovery for her!
