GUS


 Goals:

 

            ▪ maintain normal joint ROM and muscle elasticity in the rear limbs

            ▪ retrain to a more normal gait           

            ▪ maintain cardiovascular fitness



 Therapy:

 

           passive and active ROM exercises

                    (for joints and muscles)

            ▪ gait retraining

           proprioceptive input stimulation

            ▪ land treadmill and UWT (underwater treadmill)           

             assortment of therapeutic exercises


How is Gus doing now?

After spending nearly a month with our clinic and working hard in rehabilitation, Gus regained use of his once paralyzed limbs.  He was able to return back to Florida with his family walking on all four legs again!  Gus still visits our clinic when they are in town and he is still doing great!
